Olivia Leigh Boudoir

Hey gorgeous! 🌸 If you're reading this, chances are you're gearing up for a boudoir photoshoot, YAY! Whether you're doing it to celebrate yourself, give a gift to your partner, or just want to feel amazing in front of the camera, I’m SO excited for you! A boudoir shoot is one of the best ways to embrace your inner confidence and beauty, and trust me, you’re going to look absolutely STUNNING. 😍

Now, if you want to make sure your boudoir session goes off without a hitch (and that your photos are fire), there are a few things you’ll want to bring with you. Don’t stress, though! I'm here to make sure you're fully prepped and ready to slay in this Boudoir Photoshoot Checklist. So, let’s dive in, babe!

1. At Least Three Sets of Lingerie

Ok, let’s talk lingerie. This is, after all, the star of the show! 🌟 I always recommend bringing at least three sets so we’ve got options. This way, we can mix things up and create different vibes in your photos! Here's what I suggest:

  • A Classic Black Lace Set:

You can’t go wrong with a black lace number. It’s classic, elegant, and, let’s be real, super sexy. 🖤

  • A Bold Red or Deep Burgundy Set:

Want to turn up the heat? Bring in that fiery red or sultry burgundy to make a statement.

  • Something Fun & Playful:

This is where you can have a little fun! Maybe a bright color, a cute bodysuit, or even something lacy and flirty.

Oh, and remember; choose pieces that make you feel AMAZING. This shoot is all about YOU feeling confident and powerful!

2. Lip Gloss or Lipstick for Touch-Ups

Let’s talk beauty, babes! A little lip gloss or lipstick is an absolute MUST to keep your lips looking fresh. You want that perfect pout throughout the shoot, right? 💋 I suggest bringing your favorite shade or gloss for quick touch-ups between shots. Matte lipsticks can get a little dry or need reapplying, so I usually go for something glossy that’ll keep you looking fab all session long. ✨

3. Scissors (Because Tags are the Worst!)

This one might seem a little random, but trust me, you need to have a pair of scissors with you! ✂️ A random tag poking out of your lingerie can totally mess up a shot. So, before the shoot, make sure all your tags are cut off! But in case you miss one or just can’t get it, having scissors on hand will save the day. It’s always nice to be prepared. 😏

4. Hairbrush for Touch-Ups

We’ve all been there; perfect curls one second, frizzy mess the next. 😅 A hairbrush is key for those little touch-ups between shots. Whether your hair is sleek, curly, or tousled, a quick brush will help keep things looking flawless. Also, if you’re prone to flyaways, this is an easy way to keep them in check. And a little hairspray never hurts either if you want to keep your style locked in place! 🙌

5. Body Oil or Glitter Spray for That Glow

Ok, let's talk about that glowy, dewy skin that’ll make your photos pop! 💫 A good body oil or glitter spray is seriously magic for creating a luminous finish. I love applying a light layer of body oil for a soft, radiant shine. If you're feeling extra fab, a little glitter spray will add a fun, sparkly effect (perfect for that “Hollywood” vibe!). Just be sure to apply lightly. Less is more when it comes to shimmer. ✨

6. Comfortable Shoes or Slippers

We’re going to be moving around a lot during the shoot, so I always suggest bringing a pair of comfortable shoes or slippers for between outfits. Trust me, you want something cozy for when you’re taking breaks or switching into a new set. 😌

7. Heels & Stay-Up Stockings (for That Extra Sass!)

Ok, babe, this one is a GAME CHANGER. A pair of thigh-high stay-up stockings and matching heels will totally elevate your boudoir look. These babies just scream confidence, and they look SO amazing in photos. Whether you're wearing them with a cute lingerie set or just a silky robe, they’ll add that extra oomph to your photos. Trust me, you’ll feel like a supermodel. 🔥 Heels are also great for elongating your legs and giving you a super confident, powerful vibe!

8. Nude or Black Underwear

We all love lingerie, but sometimes, you might need a little something extra underneath while we change outfits. A simple set of nude or black underwear will do the trick. It’s great for when we’re taking a break or adjusting between pieces. Bonus: It’ll help you feel comfortable and covered when you’re changing or transitioning between looks. 🙃

9 . Props to Make Your Session Extra Fun

Want to add a little extra spice to your boudoir shoot? Think about bringing props that fit the vibe you want to create! Props can really bring your concept to life and make the session feel more personalised. Here are some ideas to consider:

  • Rose Petals or Flowers:

A scattering of rose petals can create a dreamy, romantic atmosphere (or petals in your hair for a boho goddess look!). 🌹

  • Whipped Cream or Lollipops:

If you're going for a playful or cheeky vibe, sweet treats like lollipops or whipped cream can add some fun and flavour (literally!). 🍭🍦

  • Your Favourite Drink:

Sip on a glass of champagne or have a cute cocktail in hand for a more glamorous, laid-back vibe. 🍾

  • Silk Robes or Blankets:

Adding some texture with a silk robe or soft blanket can give your photos a luxurious, cozy feel.

  • Other Fun Ideas:

Think of things that reflect your personality; maybe some cute sunglasses, vintage props, or even a fur stole. It’s all about what makes YOU feel fab!

10. Snacks and Water

I know you’re here to look hot and fierce, but let’s be real...you also need to keep your energy up! Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated and light snacks to keep you going. Think things like fruit, nuts, or granola bars. Nothing that’ll get on your lips or makeup (we don’t need that drama!). 😜 A little snack will help you keep that glow going throughout the shoot!

11. Confidence and Positive Vibes

The most important thing to bring is confidence. Period. 🦋 This is your time to shine and embrace everything about yourself. Don’t worry about perfect poses! We’ll work together to get the most flattering angles, and I promise, you’re going to look AMAZING!! Just enjoy the process, trust yourself, and let your confidence shine through. You’ve got this, queen! 👑

Final Thoughts

You are going to ROCK your boudoir photoshoot, I just know it. 💖 Whether you’re doing this for yourself or someone special, it’s all about embracing your beauty, strength, and confidence. So, bring your best lingerie, heels, glitter, and most importantly, your radiant energy. Your Photographer will be there to guide you through it all and make sure you have the best experience ever!

Let's make some magic happen, babe!
